How Arrowhead Axe Started

In 2019, then-14-year-old JT Hagglund was searching for an Eagle Scout project. He had spoken to others about potential projects, but JT had a big dream.

Having raced at the Ranch he knew he needed to connect with fellow dreamer Randy Heagle, owner of Arrowhead Ranch. Together they decided to build Arrowhead Axe – a place where people could come together, try something new, and share an adventure.

Arrowhead Axe is Camano Island’s only axe-throwing venue and a member of the World Axe Throwing League!

Had one of the funnest times I’ve ever had. Our personal teacher taught us the ropes and got us all hitting the board in no time. He was outstanding and was so easy to be around while our group was throwing. We will be back!

Frequently Asked Questions

What should you wear?
I mean if you want to wear a Suit & Tie I suppose that's up to you but we suggest something more like jeans & t-shirt! Dress comfortable and remember you MUST wear closed toes shoes. Without closed toed shoes you will not be able to throw axes!
How old do you have to be?
Our axes are really sharp, we want to make sure no one gets hurt. So, that means you must be at least 15 years old, with the parent's or guardian's consent. Meaning a parent or guardian must be present to complete waiver form for anyone 15 - 17 years old.
How long do we get to throw axes?
All sessions come with 90 minutes of axe throwing with a dedicated AXEpert. Need more time? Send us a message contact@arrowheadranchcamano.com
Is there food?
It's BYOF (Bring Your Own Food)! We currently offer salty snacks, but we encourage you to bring whatever you like or grab a bite at one of Camano Island’s local restaurants. Camano Commons is just around the corner with several great options!
Can I fill out a waiver online?
Yes! We got you covered! All waivers are done online during your booking process. If you are having technical difficulties, don't worry you can still fill out an old-school paper waiver onsite.
Can I rent the whole facility?
Yes, of course! Please reach out to us for events at contact@arrowheadranchcamano.com
What if I need to cancel my reservation?
We would be sad to see you can’t make it, but you are able to cancel. If you cancel at least 24 hours before your reservation you will receive a full refund. If you cancel less than 24 hours before your reservation we cannot guarantee a refund.
Is there beer?
Yes, only if you are 21+! Choose from one of our craft options for sale. Must have valid ID. Beer is not allowed in the axe-throwing lanes. We will monitor consumption by only allowing one beer to be purchased per customer at a time and watching for signs of intoxication. AXEperts will monitor the sales of alcohol by using a wristband system. AXEperts will check IDs and after each beverage is ordered they will punch a hole in the wristband to keep track of your drinks. After 2 drinks, you can decide to keep throwing or have another drink and not throw.
Can I BYOB?
No. Why would you? We offer an assortment of craft beer options for sale. Possible exceptions for private facility rental. Please reach out to us for more information at contact@arrowheadranchcamano.com.
